The 2018 ADAPAO conference, "Catalysts: Prevention Professionals Are Change Agents," will feature Dr. Tammy Collins of WestCare Foundation; Darryl Brake of the Summit County Community Partnership; as well as myriad other Ohio prevention experts.

The conference will take place at The Boat House at Confluence Park, 679 W. Spring Street in Columbus from 9:00am to 4:00pm on May 3. Registration information, including a downloadable registration form, is available below.

"The ADAPAO Conference is an environment for prevention professionals and advocates to challenge how we can improve and advance prevention in all of our communities," said Aimee Wade, ADAPAO President. "This year's conference sets the stage for education and dialogue on how we can individually and collectively reconsider how we engage in our prevention work and broaden those horizons."

The one-day conference will include large group presentations, tailored workshops, and a luncheon featuring presentation of the 2018 ADAPAO Awards.

"Honoring our award recipients is always a highlight of the conference," noted ADAPAO Membership Chair Frances Gerbig, "We look forward to spotlighting the 2018 award recipients in the presence of Ohio's prevention community."

ADAPAO's membership is solely responsible for the awards nominations.

The conference day will also include the ADAPAO Silent Auction, showcasing over 40 items, from themed baskets and works of art to restaurant gift cards and event tickets.

"We encourage our members and others to register as soon as possible," Wade noted. "We've hit attendance capacity the last two years, and we want to ensure our members do not miss out on this year's conference."
