Longmeier takes helm at PGNO

The Problem Gambling Network of Ohio (PGNO) Board of Directors has appointed Derek Longmeier as executive director of the statewide organization.

Longmeier is an Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist II with a long volunteer and professional history in the prevention field and previously served on the PGNO board of directors. He was on the staff of Drug Free Action Alliance for many years and led the organization's efforts in problem gambling prevention.

“PGNO offers the exceptional opportunity to advocate for resources and partner with statewide leaders to reduce problem gambling by supporting healthy individuals, strong families, and safe communities," said Longmeier about his new post. "As gaming expands in Ohio, I am honored to have the opportunity to lead PGNO at this critical time.”

PGNO Board President Reggie Robinson stated, “The Board is excited to have Derek take on this new role. His experience and leadership is critical to PGNO.”

Founded in 2010, the Problem Gambling Network of Ohio is a non-profit, member-based organization that provides a network of professionals working to prevent problem gambling and to provide assistance to the individuals and families who have gambling problems.
