Suicide prevention strategies app on horizon

SAMHSA releasing suicide prevention app

Suicide Safe, a free app for mobile devices, will be available soon, according to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.

The app is intended to help providers integrate suicide preventions strategies into their practice and reduce suicide risk among patients. The app is based on SAMHSA’s Suicide Assessment Five-Step Evaluation and Triage (SAFE-T) card and includes clinical education and support resources for providers.
