Director of Administrative, Training, & Specialized Services

Primary Responsibility: Provides management in the evaluation of public attitudes, identification of policies and procedures of the agency in the public interest, administrative services, training, specialized prevention-based services, and the planning and execution of specialized programs, including budgets, grant-writing, reporting,  and grant maintenance. Supervises the professional prevention staff in the delivery of these services.

Serving: Primarily Butler County

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health, public health or public administration discipline.  Graduate degree a plus. At least 5 years of management and supervisory experience, preferably in Prevention field. Prevention Certification is a priority for this position. Expertise in prevention  training, administration of prevention programs, program development, and management of prevention programs.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  •       Champion the agency’s mission and our topic/programs through public speaking and community involvement    while developing lasting partnerships that promote behavioral health.
  •       Coordinate and work with organizations and school districts, juvenile justice, child welfare/protection systems to identify the prevention needs of, and potential solutions for our clients (individuals & systems).
  •       Assist with Strategic Planning & exploration of new markets for initiatives in behavioral health prevention & promotion.
  •       Project Management from resource development through evaluation. Primarily: youth-led, coalition/policy, gambling prevention, adult prevention, social marketing, web/social media, et al.
  •       Research and analyze community prevention efforts and create/maintain agency alliances advocating for effective, science-based practices.
  •       Educate and train the community on prevention and health promotion initiatives, activities and programs.
  •       Monitor local, state and federal public & private dollars to ensure compliance with grant guidelines and accountability.
  •       Research, identify and pursue funding opportunities to increase overall prevention funding to enhance behavioral health services in the community.
  •       Grant writing and grant maintenance.
  •       Develop and oversee Prevention training services.
  •       Oversee and provide agency administrative needs and reporting.
  •       Direct service delivery as assigned and needed.
  •       Oversight and development of specialized programs.
  •       Management of program staff as related to specialized programs and otherwise as appropriate.
  •       Completes all other duties as assigned within scope of skills and abilities to assist with the overall success of  the agency.
  •       Other duties as needed and assigned.
