Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant

: Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant position available. Position will be full time during time-finite grant funding period - with competitive compensation package.  Possibility of continuation.
ECMH Consultant provides onsite coaching, mentoring, modeling and training to staff related to developmentally appropriate interventions and classroom management strategies that enhance the emotional well-being of children. The ECMH Consultant works closely and cooperatively with the school and center staff and administration of the assigned district(s) and areas to increase youth’s capacity for school success.
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum requirements include: Bachelor degree in Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, Early Childhood Education or related field, Master Degree preferred. Valid Ohio Professional License and Certification, Ohio ECMH Professional credential and LISW or LPCC preferred. Two years’ experience in working with young children in a classroom setting and or in-home providing consultation, support, mentoring and training to individuals as well as small and large groups of adults. Knowledge in the areas of developmentally appropriate practices, knowledge of concepts of early child development and mental health disorders. Must be able to integrate mental health services and philosophies in group settings. Requires excellent skills in communication, observation, interviewing and assessment. Ability to work with adults and children and knowledge of learning styles. Knowledge of county mental health systems. Knowledge of and adherence to ethical standards of profession Demonstrate a sincere desire to aid all students, staff, and the community, and display compassion, kindness and tolerance. Good health, high moral character, and acceptable attendance record. Computer Literacy; demonstrate competence in using computer-related programs including database programs. Current in the field of practice through continuing education. Valid driver’s license, and be able to pass BCI and FBI verifications required.
This is a grant-funded position, with funding dependent upon renewal and/or extension of funds. Full-time or part-time available. 
Salary based on experience and available funding.
Start date: April 2021
