POSITION DESCRIPTION FOR REGIONAL PREVENTION MANAGER
NorthKey Community Care is seeking a full-time Team Leader of Prevention Services. This person will provide leadership, coordination, evaluation, and supervision to Regional Prevention Center staff and be responsible for all substance use prevention efforts across the 8-county Northern Kentucky region. Additionally, the Team Leader will consult with the Accounting Department regarding the budget, and the KY Department of Behavioral Health regarding contract deliverables.

DUTIES:
  • Coordinate with the Department of Behavioral Health and appropriate NorthKey Community Care staff to develop written annual plan/budget and provide reports.
  • Relate the annual plan/budget to process and outcome measures with a focus on prevention efforts.
  • Assure timely and accurate data entry and reporting to the Division of Behavioral Health and other evaluation sources.
  • Create individual budget and activity reports.
  • Assess ongoing needs and requirements to improve the Regional Prevention Center, including materials and staffing resources.
  • Provide goal planning, reinforcement, and evaluation for Regional Prevention Center staff members.
  • Encourage and support ongoing training and certification of prevention staff.
  • Pursue and negotiate contracts with potential prevention funding sources.
  • Promote prevention efforts, outlined by the Department of Behavioral Health, and personal goals by engaging in community activities and marketing activities. 
  • Collaborate with additional prevention focused groups within the Northern Kentucky area. 
  • Provide training to the community, as needed.
  • Assure accuracy and fidelity of programs in the community representing NorthKey Regional Prevention Center.   
  • Inform administration and other programs in NorthKey Community Care informed of activities and programs in progress of the Regional Prevention Center. 
  • Serve on any NorthKey Community Care committees or boards as requested. 
  • Create individual budget and activity reports.
  • Attend meetings required by the Department of Behavioral Health.
  • Communicate with the Department staff and related contractors in an appropriate manner, and assure other Regional Prevention Center staff do the same.
  • Submit timely and accurate reports and other materials to the Department of Behavioral Health, as required. 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Certified Prevention Professional certification required.
  • Bachelor's degree plus 5 years experience in prevention or the related fields of health, social science, marketing, communication, or education; or a Master's degree with 2 years of work experience in prevention. 
  • Administration and supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to direct work of others, conduct funding research, grant/proposal writing, and fiscal management.
