Applying Prevention Science to Practice: What Implementation Experts Need to Know About Fidelity (Part 1)

About: The two-part series kicks off April 13 with a Zoom presentation focused on specific tools for prevention practitioners in determining what behavior they are trying to change and why. The presentation will discuss fidelity of the use of innovations and how to adapt while ensuring the intended outcomes. An overview of available prevention registries will be covered with tools on how to utilize registries in your research question while ensuring the program is evidence based and fit to the population. There will be a discussion on things to consider when adapting to virtual platforms.

The series concludes on May 18 with a Virtual Learning Lab, which will provide an opportunity for conversation between prevention professionals, guided by facilitators, to provide a greater level of detail and understanding into the key concepts of the topics addressed. Anticipated goals of virtual learning lab include; increased knowledge transfer, increased network development, opportunities to trouble-shoot real life items.
