Health Consequences of Loneliness and Social Isolation

About: Social isolation is an emerging health policy issue for health researchers and policy experts across the U.S. Improving social connectedness has the potential to improve health and wellbeing and address challenges such as addiction, heart disease, depression and premature death. 

This forum will explore the effects of social isolation and loneliness over the life course. 
Speakers will address the drivers of social isolation, the impact on health for various populations and policy approaches to improve health outcomes.
